Broker Spotlight: Jordan Heuver of Sollf

Hi Jordan! Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in the real estate industry?

Absolutely!! I grew up in the picturesque land of Twente in eastern Netherlands, where life was all about sports, friends and having a blast. Fast forward to early 2022, I got a call from Skepp (our former alter ego, now the go-to for office furniture & design) through a local business club. I had a fun job at the time, but Skepp’s innovative and dynamic vibe really triggered me. The connection with the team was instant and we clicked right away. I always thought being a residential real estate agent would be fun, but I never imagined I’d love the world of commercial real estate so much as well!

How has the journey been for Sollf since its launch earlier this year, and what has been the most exciting part of working with the new platform?

We like to call it a wild roller coaster ride. We’re doing some really cool things, aiming to set the gold standard for finding and renting workplaces all over Europe. The last few months have been packed with exciting moments. The absolute highlight? Launching our new platform: Sollf - Click. Rent. Work. Seeing the fruits of countless caffeine-fueled meetings and hard work of our team was very special. The cherry on top was in February, raising a glass (or several) with our cherished partners to celebrate the launch.

What do you enjoy most about your role and the flexible workspace sector?

People generally spend more time in the office than at home. That shows how important it is to have a cool, inspiring workplace that puts a smile on your face everyday! We’re in touch daily with loads of people hunting for the perfect office. Making rental candidates and landlords happy; it’s a win-win that keeps things exciting. Plus, in the real estate sector there are a lot of social gatherings, meaning we also get in touch a lot with fellow online and offline brokers and other stakeholders in the industry. Always fun and inspiring such an environment!

How do you leverage digital tools and technology to enhance client experiences at Sollf?

Cool question, because this is exactly where Sollf differentiates. Finding a new office should be as easy and fast as ordering a pizza. We aim to help you find your dream office within a week using smart tech, personal experience, no fine print and full transparency about the process on our platform.

To achieve this, a large part of our platform is powered by AI which gives us multi language support to reach a bigger audience, allows us to scale quickly into other European countries and powers our office suggestion engine that helps you find your perfect office quickly. Our sorting algorithm is also 100% data-driven - no favorites here, just pure transparency. Soon, landlords will get real time updates about what their current position on our platform is exactly and tips to boost it, so they’ll need to roll up their sleeves!

We’ve got lots more in the pipeline to perfect the experience and platform, but we’re confident we can help everyone find their dream office!

Tell us about a memorable deal or experience from your career!

Well, my first notable deal in the real estate industry was with Tribes. I was just a month into my new job at Sollf and was already in good contact with the people from Tribes when a great candidate came along. We quickly matched them with a spot at Tribes in the Adam Smith building and wrapped everything up within just a few days. This was straight out of the Sollf playbook - finding the dream office within a week! These are one of those great memories to look back on!
