Continuing our Broker Spotlight series, we're thrilled to feature Enzo Peer, Head of Vogl Netherlands. With a deep-rooted love for Amsterdam and a keen understanding of its evolving landscape, Enzo shares valuable insights on embracing technology, building relationships, and staying ahead of the curve.

Hi Enzo! Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in the Real Estate industry?

Absolutely! I went to an International school during my high school period and already during that time, I've had a deep love for Amsterdam, from its rich history to its vibrant culture, there's just something magical about this city. And of course, being an avid Ajax fan, there's nothing quite like the excitement of match day at the Johan Cruyff Arena. So it was obvious to me, already at a young age, that I wanted to do something in this city. As I watched the city evolve and grow, I became fascinated by the interplay between urban development in real estate, economics, and politics. But it wasn't until my university years in Amsterdam that I truly dove headfirst into the world of real estate. Now, as head of Vogl Netherlands, I have the privilege of leasing office spaces to a diverse range of clients. Whether it's a local startup looking to expand or a multinational corporation seeking a new headquarters, I thrive on the challenge of finding the perfect workspace solution for each client.

How do you approach building relationships with potential clients and gaining insight into their unique needs when seeking the right workspace solution?

I find social involvement and thinking along the clients ideologies to be one of the most important factors in commercial real estate. It all comes down to creating a suitable work together environment for clients and to make sure that every need is met. However, it's not just about understanding our clients, it's also about staying ahead of the curve when it comes to national and international real estate opportunities. By keeping up with the latest trends and developments, we can provide valuable insights and guidance to our clients, helping them make informed decisions about their workspace needs. Lastly it is also about building long-standing relationships and being flexible with our clients, it is one of the keys to success in this industry. It's all about earning their trust and delivering results that exceed their expectations.

What do you enjoy most about your role and the flexible workspace sector?

What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to connect with people and make a difference in their business journey. For me, it's not just about finding a space, it's about understanding my clients' unique needs, ideologies and crafting tailored solutions. Besides this I have to say that I also enjoy being out of the office from time to time. From attending networking events to going on tours of potential office spaces, every day is different and exciting. Plus I have the freedom to develop Vogl's website, marketing strategies, and more, in collaboration with colleagues, which adds another dimension to my role and keeps things interesting. Furthermore, Vogl being part of 1530 Real Estate, a boutique firm specializing in leasing, selling and tenant representation for both offices and logistical real estate in Amsterdam and its surroundings, adds an extra layer of satisfaction to my work.

How do you see technology shaping the future of flexible office spaces, and what strategies are you/VOGL employing to leverage these advancements?

When it comes to the future of flexible office spaces, I firmly believe that technology will play a crucial role. From virtual reality tours to data-driven analytics, the possibilities are endless. It is very difficult but we try to stay ahead of the developments and by embracing these advancements, we can ensure that our clients have access to the most cutting-edge solutions available. As someone who's always eager to embrace new technologies, I'm excited to see where the future will take us.

Tell us about a memorable deal or experience from your career!

Ah, difficult to choose when you were able to help so many different companies. Yet one memorable deal that comes to mind is when I helped the car company Zeekr find their ideal flex office solution.

Zeekr approached me with a clear vision of what they were looking for in a workspace. They had their hearts set on a particular workspace provider, let's call them "Tribes." However, as I delved deeper into their needs and aspirations, it became evident that there were other options worth exploring. It was a bit of a journey, to say the least but through some careful negotiation, I was able to steer them in the right direction and we both know where they ended up going.
