  1. PHOTO-2019-06-06-15-32-10Name: Muhammed Aydogan
  2. Function: Meddah
  3. Tribes location: Tribes Utrecht Central Station
  4. Something about me: I actually have a degree in Artificial Intelligence, not marketing. You know, just in case robots take over the world.
  5. Started at Tribes: March 2018
  6. Found Tribes via: Duh, social media!
  7. First visited Tribes location: The opening of Tribes Düsseldorf GAP. I went there just for fun to meet everyone and to see what Tribes is all about! I had never seen a Shaman cleanse a place from bad spirits, that was really interesting...
  8. The reason why I decided to join Tribes: i just need four words to answer that: young, energetic, adaptive, new. I can’t stand the idea of a static and fixed company where nothing changes from year onto year. Tribes is growing, changing and adapting on a different level; it keeps the spirit fit and sound. I'm truly happy to be part of this organisation.
  9. Just another day at the office: Well, you start off with the utmost important ingredient of a successful, happy, productive career: coffee. Based on your mood, this could be a double-washed Brazilian Americano to get some serious work done, or a natural heirloom Ehtiopian Sidamo with floral hints with some micro-foamed milk - not too much though - to get some creativity going, or even just any espresso to punch your sleep or laziness in the face and get sh*t done... Oh, and afterwards, always start with reviewing and planning your agenda à la Covey. Then it’s just what the day, week, month or quarter brings you!
  10. The best about my job: I’m connecting with thousands with the work we do at marketing.
  11. The best memory of my time at Tribes: So, here you have a CEO aged 57 (I’m 29), who’s definitely different, and has all these quirky ideas to stay fresh, new, and interesting. “Mo, let’s talk business, come over to my place and bring your sports outfit”. It’s 9 am, we start the work-out with Fouad - his personal trainer - and 30 mins in, I’m all exhausted while he's still going… anyway, the memory is not the work-out, nor the business talk afterwards… it’s the muscles aches the days after!! Let’s just say, I felt a little stiff.
  12. Most memorable event of Tribes: I guess every single one. From Chinese dancers to Mongolian throat singers, every event has to live up to the company name.
  13. Are you a business nomad: Yep, I’m working at all our locations, mainly Utrecht and Rotterdam though. But also - keeping it real nomadic - just anywhere really. In the train, at mum’s, when I'm at home or at a cozy coffee bar. Nomads didn't work on fixed times either, so I love to be flexible!
  14. I would still like to develop myself in: coffee. At some point I want to do coffee roasting, cupping, grading, brewing even getting to know the whereabouts of sourcing, the whole package! No idea how and when.
  15. Favorite gadget: the apple ecosystem.
  16. Means of transport: train
  17. Social media: I really like medium.com, it’s a platform where you don’t share images, like Instagram, but you share full articles. Interestingly enough, it was founded by the former CEO and co-founder of Twitter, Evan Williams. I guess he found 140 characters limited, so he just made a new platform with unlimited characters...
  18. I always have these products with me: apple ecosystem (again)
  19. In my personal time I'm busy with: family first, friends second, and then you combine these two with all your hobbies and interests.
  20. Most beautiful Tribes location: Tribes Rotterdam Blaak.
  21. My favorite hero-tribe: Bajau, fascinating people.
  22. Something I learned at Tribes: I learned a bachelor’s degree of info about all tribes around the world.
